I haven't posted in a while, busy with my work, and I think...why post if there are no readers?? I'm told to hang in there, sooner or later someone will stumble across this blog. Stumble is probably right.
So I am listening to all the news coming out of our wonderful gov'mt leaders, and things don't look good. According to them. Much of the media isn't reporting the truth about what is being done to us. I think if people quit watching American Idol and paid scant attention to the fiscal mess, there would be a revolt coming. Maybe there will be.
The Bible speaks of this...a time of trouble unlike anything we've ever seen. I'm sure many periods in history thought the same thing when they went through colossal trials. But this one is different in that the whole world seems to be experiencing the same things. Economic meltdowns, job insecurities, weird weather, strange events. Jesus promised to come again one day. Is it soon? We may be in our very last period of history. Lots of things fit prophesy. In fact, most, if not all, has been fulfilled.
The Bible speaks of someone who will appear on the world's stage, seemingly with all the answers. The whole world will buy into his solutions. We may be witnessing a forerunner of that person now, someone with mass followings who cling to his every word. It shows how foolish people can be to think that some other person can solve all their problems.
Is it soon? Come quickly, Lord Jesus.

It's possible - but when you say this is a unique time b/c the world is feeling the affect I think you fail to acknowledge things like WORLD Wars of the past - emphasis on World. After World War One Germans were using their paper money as fire kindling - it was absolutely worthless. The Great Depression was not just an American fiasco - it affected the globe. I think we tend to look at the world from the United States out, really focusing on what is affecting us and Americans tend to look at history the same way. Global tragedies have been going on for ever we just never realized it. Also world news makes us more aware of what is happening around the world. I always say - if Christ did not come back when his people were being slaughtered by the millions by a man name Adolf Hitler - then he really means it when he says you will not know when
